Leadership workshops
Systems Thinking – Understand Complexity and Act Smarter
Are you tired of putting out fires at work? In this workshop, you will learn how to move from reactive management to strategic action with systems thinking. You will learn to spot hidden cause-effect correlations, visualize complex problems, and find their true causes. Together, we will look at models that will help you better understand your team, company, or market, and thus make more informed decisions. Equip yourself with the tools that will allow you to act more effectively and implement changes where it counts.
Systems Thinking – Beer Game
Have you always dreamed of working in the beer industry? Now you have the opportunity to manage the deliveries of your favourite brewery! In this workshop, you will be a supply chain manager, where you will have to meet customer requirements and maximize the company’s profits. Up to five teams can compete in the game, competing for efficient organization and customer satisfaction.
During the game, we will discover what beer has to do with software development. You will learn how the structure of a system affects the actions of the people working in it, and why complex systems like beer delivery or software development require systems thinking. Gain a new perspective on management and problem-solving!
Efficient or busy? – Discover the secrets of efficiency at work
Is your organization efficient, or is everyone just busy? In this workshop, we will look at productivity through the prism of LEAN and Kanban approaches. We have prepared an interactive game in which you will be able to see with your own eyes how processes work and what makes a working system less effective.
The game is based on building simple products from LEGO bricks, and during each round, we will model work, identify bottlenecks, and implement a continuous improvement cycle. You will understand how employee busyness affects results, and you will also learn to identify and eliminate typical waste in processes. This is a great way to gain a practical understanding of LEAN and Kanban principles and apply them in everyday work.
Value Stream Mapping – How to Stop Being Busy and Start Being Effective
Does your organization succumb to the cult of busyness? Do employees always have something to do, but efficiency is questionable? In this workshop, you will see why full resource utilization rarely leads to true productivity and how you can change that.
Let’s discover the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) technique together, which will help you identify where losses and delays occur in your software development processes. VSM is a tool that comes from the Lean philosophy and allows you to focus on real value, eliminating waste and shortening the time to deliver products to the customer. During the workshop, you will not only learn the theory but also practice using VSM in practice.
This is an opportunity to gain a new perspective on the processes in your company and start working smarter, not harder!
Scaling Agile – How to introduce agility in a large organization?
Is Agile only the domain of small teams? What to do when hundreds of people are working on a product and the organization is getting bigger? During this workshop, we will look at how to effectively implement Agile on a larger scale.
You will learn about the key challenges related to scaling Agile in large organizations and various frameworks such as LeSS, Nexus, SAFe and the Spotify model. We will discuss how these solutions can help manage the work of multiple teams and what pitfalls are worth avoiding to maintain agility in large structures.
Gain practical knowledge that will help your organization become more agile – regardless of its size!
Agile Leadership – Agile leader in action
How to become a leader who drives agility in an organization? In the world of Agile, leadership requires a completely new approach, and the role of the leader is changing dynamically. During this workshop, we will focus on Agile Leaders, and especially on the development of personal leadership (Personal Leadership).
You will learn two models of leader development and the Responsibility Process, which will help you understand the different shades of leadership. You will learn how to recognize the stages of avoiding responsibility and move to full responsibility for your actions, both in teams and communities.
After this session, you will be able to consciously shape your role as a leader and effectively support the development of agility in your organization.
Organizational Structures – How Team Structure Affects Results
Can changing the organizational structure have a greater impact than changing processes? See for yourself! The workshop will help you understand how the way people are organized into teams affects efficiency, communication and work results.
During an interactive game based on working with LEGO bricks, we will analyze various organizational models – from competence teams, through component teams, to interdisciplinary teams. You will see how these structures affect cooperation and dynamics in the company, and how they can change the results of the organization.
Thanks to this session, you will gain practical knowledge that will help you anticipate the challenges and benefits of implementing different models in your company.
Speaking Managerish – How to Change a Company and Not Get Fired
Do your conversations end in a tense atmosphere instead of joint decisions? If you encounter a defensive or even offensive reaction to your proposals, it is worth understanding what is behind these reactions.
During the workshop, we will look at David Rock’s SCARF model, which explains how our brains react to social events. You will learn the mechanisms that govern human behaviour and how to better convince people of your ideas. What’s more, we will practice these skills in simulations of difficult conversations, so that next time you leave the meeting with success – not frustration!
